Custom Molded Products
Our California facility has the capability of producing a wide variety of custom molded parts, using both compression and transfer molding processes and presses with platens ranging in size from 12″ x 12″ to 54″ x 164″. We have manufactured parts weighing as little as 8 ounces and as much as 250 lbs. The full range of elastomers shown above is available for the production of molded parts.
Handbuilt / Hand Lay-up Products
SRC technicians are skilled in hand lining all types of metal and FRP parts, including tanks, pumps, pipe and pipe fittings, chutes, launders and the like. In addition, handbuilding techniques can be utilized to fabricate finished parts such as:
- isostatic pressing bags used to produce high quality industrial ceramic parts.
- inflatable bags used for applications such as dunnage, lifting or wine pressing.
- discharge / drop chutes
- boots
- diaphragms
SRC can also use our special autoclave pressure process to manufacture virtually seamless finished parts.
We have autoclave curing capability up to 124” diameter and 60’ long.
10′ Diameter x 14′ high tank in the process of removing the old rubber lining and installing a new rubber lining by hand
TRULY ENDLESS CONVEYOR BELTING
Truly endless conveyor belting that may have special shapes (v-guides, vanner edges, etc.) integral to the cover/s and capped or cut edges. The type of fabric reinforcement, number of plies and the elastomer compound are selected to suit the application.
- Maximum NEL of 300”
- Maximum belt width to 72”
- Top cover smooth or with custom impression
Set-up and / or tooling charges may be required.
HOSE AND TUBING
Mandrel-built, hand lay-up hose and tubing for discharge / low pressure service.
- Flanged or plain end
- Wrap finish
- Maximum of 32” diameter x 25’ length
OR - Maximum 66” diameter x 13’ length
Set-up and / or tooling charges may be required.
OTHER SPECIALTY PRODUCTS
Rolls and Pulleys
These products may be produced using one of three different manufacturing methods: (1) they can be molded directly to a shaft, (2) they can be handbuilt directly on a shaft as a solid rubber pulley / roll or, (3) rubber can be applied to a standard conveyor or elevator pulley. For option (1), secondary machining may be used to change the molded shape. For options (2) and (3), the pulley or roll may be finished with a wrap, lathe cut or ground surface. In all cases, various grooving patterns can be applied as the parts are built or inserted as secondary operations after cure.
SRC will use your existing tooling/molds for production or, where tooling may be unavailable or where a new product is involved, design an appropriate mold or other type of tooling and have it manufactured by a qualified machine shop or metal fabricator.
Replaceable Conveyor & Elevator Pulley Lagging
Rigid-back pulley lagging, pre-formed at the factory to fit individual pulley diameters. May be installed with supplied metal retainers for ease of replacement, or welded directly to the pulley surface without retainers. Available in a number of rubber compounds to meet all service conditions.
Pad-Lag®
Rigid-back pulley lagging, pre-formed at the factory to fit individual pulley diameters. May be installed with supplied metal retainers for ease of replacement, or welded directly to the pulley surface without retainers. Available in a number of rubber compounds to meet all service conditions.
